FOCUSA Poem by AndrewA poem that tells of purpose despite knowing that your future holds a portion of suffering.
From his birth to his death
He knew what he came to do That his life would be truly lived He knew that he had to die. He was equal to his father But chose to be the son And like one of us he came, to Show love that we might be loved. An example he set before us Even in his mannerisms He came not to condemn the world But that through him it might be saved. Even though death was before him It really was his choice Because he knew salvation would only happen With him hung from a tree and bleeding He spoke to all in parables That everyone might understand Whichever way you chose to see it, It really was in your interest. Despite the pressure from without He had the power within He always listened to his father To ensure he was on course. He only put to practice What he saw his Daddy doing, His one and only goal in life Was to do Daddy's will. But wait, why have I known him? What's the fuss about being like him? Why have I knelt in worship, Of the holy one of glory? He is the one and only, The one who delineates time He is the hope of glory I know his name, the Christ, Jesus. © 2013 AndrewFeatured Review
