LEAP OF FAITHA Poem by Andrew
At the brink of the precipice
I stand right on edge At peace with my decision To jump off this ledge. What foolishness you might say That I know not what lies beneath For far below you conjecture A certain death awaits. Truly its uncertain For the bottom i cannot comprehend Compounded by the facts That all i have are my convictions. I psyche myself over That i am in the right You're entitled to your opinion But its my decision to make. I take the plunge everyone's unsure of A free-fall I experience Relief, happiness, sheer joy That i took this "fatal" leap. Into the darkness of uncertainties The weight upon me heavy I float with a carefree attitude Delight that I'm in control. I hear the wails and cries Above over my head Of the ones who say they love me But would prevent my success. A new dawn flashes Right before my very eyes The promise I was unsure of Has now become reality. © 2013 AndrewAuthor's Note
