The Darkness in Me

The Darkness in Me

A Poem by Dreamwind

Down the hallway red,

Lying close in bed,

But not together,

The weather...perfect,

Still I'm nervous,

Check for twinkling stars,

And upside down cars,

Heavy in my chest,

I can't seem to rest,

I need your faith,

Just a taste,

Of your  love,

Would be enough,

If I would just,

Wake you up,

But I cannot,

Ask for help,

For myself,

I don't want you to see,

The darkness in me.

I really like it. It kept me guessing until the end

The slighest crack in venetian blind fills the room...even a pinhole in the curtain can turn darkness to a lighter shade of gray... sometimes we must acknowledge the darkness to let in some light. Bless. I like this write.
