If

If

A Poem by Dreamwind
"

Just some after thoughts

"

If I 'd never met you,
I wouldn't be sad,
If I hadn't let you ,
Kiss me,
I could still be glad,
To see you,
Sometimes,
To laugh,
And to climb,
Onto your bike,
And explore your world,
Without giving up my own.

Interesting. We should be loved for ourselves and not for what others try to make of us...I've often heard (from women more than men) "I thought they would change or I could change them or my love could change them) But true change only comes from within and it is usually slow in coming. Personalities are very difficult things to shape and alter...even our own unpleasant habits like lying or being angry over some silly thing. I think it's good to not have expectations of others and to try to be the best me I can be...that seems to occupy my every waking moment. (smile) Everyone needs space and at least one hobby I think as an escape hatch from the world. But never change for anyone else...it's a useless thing to try to do so and it only breeds contempt and resentment towards the person you are trying to please. If you feel there are changes which might benefit you as a person...make them for the right person...YOU!
