A Poem by Dreamwind
"

A memory of lying in the sand.

"

Heavy,

Weighted,

Baited,

Curves,

Squirm,

Into position,

A little deeper,

Make this a keeper,

Spread,

A bed,

Of skin,

And sand,

Both hands,

Curl around,

The warm brown,

Toes clenched,

Hips wrenched,

From the grains,

From the pains,

Of creating,

Me,

Don't leave,

I reach to follow,

But...

I am hollow,

An empty inversion,

Of a once live person,

I cannot be,

What is free,

I lay here only,

For the sad and lonely,

To trace the outline,

Of another time,

When beauty was mine,

I beg for more,

So the shore,

Call the waves,

They come and save,

My drooping slope,

My stepped on hope,

The started moat,

Till the sea,

Belongs to me,

Or I to him,

On a whim,

I start to swim,

And find my wish,

To exist,

Has come true.

Every sailor believes the sea is a woman...the mother of all. But I like your perspective here.

I was enchanted by the first line. Although this has a dark feel to it I can see a few notes you hit that rings true within my own self.
