Do You Think Of Me?

Do You Think Of Me?

A Poem by Tabitha Deasún
"

Just another situation where I put my thoughts down in writing. Heartache can be a powerful emotion to make one write.

"

Laying with my head on a pillow

The stars twinkling outside my window

Safe in the hold of my blankets

My mind drifts through a sea of memories

Thinking of your smile, your laugh, your eyes

Of the times when you held me in your arms

The feel of your lips when you'd kiss me

How right the world felt in those moments

Tears make a damp path on my cheeks

As I recall the sound of those three words

Precious words that brought a flood of joy

Returned from my own lips unhesitatingly

Now alone in my bed I'm left to wonder

Do you miss me at night?

My warmth next to you as you slept

Before opening your eyes to me by you

Do you miss my lips on yours?

The feel of my body pressing against your own

As our hearts raced in our chests

Locked in the overwhelming feel of desire

Thoughts of moments that bring varied emotions

Making my heart ache in their firm hold

As one question that crosses my mind again

The one I yearn for an answer to the most

Do you even think of me?
