Listening to a melody composed by memories
Of days that brought a smile to my face So easily able to make me shed tears now That my world is spinning out of control
Assaulting my senses with vivid detail Not able to be halted by sleeps embrace Dragging me deeper in its sorrowful arms
An inner struggle that I constantly lose Lulled into false dreams that seem real Only desiring to sink deeper within them Never realizing until my eyes are opened Every morning that they'll never be again
