Moonbeams

Moonbeams

A Poem by dreaming dame

I don't know what to do but sigh,

as I see the moon so high,

and wish my worries goodbye

to the moonbeams in the sky

but I sit here instead and cry,

 wondering why

I hadn't seen the day coming nigh

where my innocence did fly

leaving me not enough to get by.

And then I decide

 that away I will fly.

Away; away to the moon's light

Where there's only gentle light.

Hidden from Hateful's sight.

And seen in the lover's eye

And there will remain 'till the day we die.

We believers of the moon's light.

Sweet light of gentle night.

where troubles say bye.

Gentleness of Moon's light says hi.

To give sleep, by the moon's light in the sky.

I am a bit picky at times so yeah. The "cry, sky" rhyming scheme is good and all but it does get a bit tiresome especially if its for 3 stanzas. Though I like rhyming, too much of the same can dull work.

I do like that you were consistent with your theme and you did have some simple yet elegant choice of words.

Alright grammer, you wrote:
but instead I sit here instead an cry.
I think you should maybe remove one of the "instead"s, I don't know, might just be me:)
Anyway, I really like this!:) I still admire your talent with rhyming!!!! I'm terrible!!!!!!!:P Great poem, Awchie:):P

One typo, i think. "saya' second last line. But darling, i love this poem! It feels kind of personal, though I know it's YOUR poem. I've got some kind of... relationship with the moon too. Lunacy. That's what it is. Great write!

Stay this way, DD. Please don't let the cruel worlds rough you up. I love the almost innocent idealism here. I had that once...it's good to see it in others.
A most enjoyable read. Thank you.

The moon have been the symbol of love for many lovers. To find a place where two can find peace and calm. I like the desire of the words and the very nice ending. A excellent poem.
