Sunburns

Sunburns

A Poem by df
"

There is nothing more inspirational than a woman's face.

"

I saw naught but summer glades
in two windows suspended wistfully
on a physiognomy, as smooth
as desert dunes.

Pulling back the shutters,
light and life flooded everything;
rosemary and pomegranate lips
awoke dear sorrow.

Although now I breathed fresh air,
everything burned inside.
It burned like the sun, driving
existence of all.

Bathing in photons, I reveled
as all energy spoke to me,
beautifully, whispering elegantly,
inducing lachrymosity.
