A Poem by Jenna
"

I was inspired by the Beatles song "Blackbird", the Paul McCartney song "Willow", and the title of Cynthia Kadohata's book. It's kind of how I view myself in this world.

"

it sits and watches upon the hill:

the children playing at the bottom

having lives of ignorant joyful thrills.

the gossips eying rumors left and right

but their blunt eyes cannot see it

watching them that night.

weedflower

 nobody notices you

your uneven petals wavering in the wind

weedflower

nobody bothers you

your bleached colors bathing in the shadows

 weedflower

nobody understands you

your faithful stem keeping you upright.

weedflower

it sits and watches upon the hill:

the gardeners in the fields around

picking all wedding roses in sight.

the lovers lying in the grass

but their tender hearts cannot see it

watching them that night.

weedflower

nobody cares for you;

your unseeing eyes weeping.

weedflower

nobody understands you

but your faithful stem holding you upright.

How often are people inspired and write? Not often at all... In most cases people are inspired but just let their mind forget that little moment of clarity. The world would be an entirely different place if more inspired people took to action their inspirations! Good piece here, keep it up!
