How Fast Things ChangeA Poem by RenSo I wrote this for a contest called Change my Mind by C. Lee Battaglia. They said that they need some inspiration to help them get better with their depression and anxiety, so here you go :)13 years old, tears streaming down her face She hasn’t felt anything in so long Friends leaving her alone No friends anymore Numbness shooting through her body Aching for some feeling Aching for some love A boy comes along He says he’ll fix it all He lied He hurt her He left with another girl She cried And cried And ached And sliced into her body Hoping it would stop the pain It didn’t It made it worse She didn’t want to eat She didn’t want to breathe She stopped eating She stopped crying The tears wouldn’t flow anymore She was tired of herself She was tired of life feeling dark She hid in her room She sat in silence She planned her exit to this world She gave it one more chance She takes her pills in the morning and night She smiles through the day She lets out her emotions She goes to school, hugs her friends She laughs at funny jokes She corrects herself on her bad thoughts She tries new things even if they scare her She doesn’t let it take over anymore She still gets sad But now she fights back She won’t fall back down She knows her worth She knows she’s strong She wants you to know you’re strong, too You’re strong You’re brave You can do this She believe in you I believe in you © 2018 RenAuthor's Note

StatsAuthorRenAboutI'm an emotional person, and writing is one of my favorite ways to get my emotions out there. I like writing poem, music, and occasionally short stories. I'm also really bad at the "about me" sections.. more..Writing
