Covet the Dead

Covet the Dead

A Poem by Doctor Deathstab

I covet you because you’re dead.

Come back and carry me to your crypt.

I will wait for you when I go to bed.

I want you to sweep me away in your chilly grip.

The dead don’t lie and make promises.

I love the silent vows sealed up in your lips.

I can’t put trust in anyone who lives.

So the dead will bring on my happiness…

Good poem, great theme necrophillia has always been popular in poetry. As you know, I am myself a fan of the darker side of poetry so I hope to read any others you submit on this them. My favourite line is 'I covet you because you're dead.' Great line wish I'd written it.

This is really good. I like the directness with which it is delivered. Excellent write.

I am a new breed of poet. I write what I feel and don't give a damn what others think. I am vulgar at times, but my thinking ability goes deeper than obscenities. (Did I spell that right?) So read bet.. more..
