Mental Age

Mental Age

A Poem by Doctor Deathstab

I only dream in love, but I’m awake in hate.

I run to catch me up, but she’s too far away.

This life is made of rust. I can’t wait to disintegrate.

Poison slowly fills my lungs until I suffocate.

Restore my life and press reset.

Erase misuse and cleanse regret.

I’ve seen too much; not ignorant.

My soul is tired. My life is spent.
