Evil Muse

Evil Muse

A Poem by Doctor Deathstab

She’s the bane of my existence, but I always let her in.

This infinite digression is subject to every whim.

Slowly I’m sinking deeper into a chasm of despair

With the body of a muse invoking disrepair.

Through her eyes I am distorted by her demented flare.

I’m bleeding inside out from a bittersweet affair.

Okay and you've been hiding where? This is really good...I will have to visit more often now! I like how you so sweet surrender even in a bittersweet moment...to almost be spellbound...

You don't need alot of words to pull someone in. I connected with this and undewrstood it. Sometimes I don;t think people understand that its not just the words but the whole, the within. I can feel the pain shared with this, and a bit of shame......but we just can't say no....

Excellent piece.

kudos for using "bane"... haven't heard that in a while
this is such a short account of something that begs more, but it's enough to evoke emotion...
I just wish I knew more about this muse... for my own curiosity... but this poem is nice as is. Thank you for sharing.

I am a new breed of poet. I write what I feel and don't give a damn what others think. I am vulgar at times, but my thinking ability goes deeper than obscenities. (Did I spell that right?) So read bet.. more..
