The Curse

The Curse

A Poem by Doctor Deathstab

The blackness calls to me, but not the death you know

I was meant to reap what my parents sow

This will be my curse; disease I’ll always fight

Not meant to belong, depression every night

You think it’s easier, but your rules don’t apply

I am not like you; not an ordinary guy

You’re free to assume that I don’t think to try

Some currents can’t be changed, so they’ll keep flooding by

I like it, but this line sticks out as too simple- "I am not like you; not an ordinary guy"
However, I really like the line directly under that one.
