Beginning of the End

Beginning of the End

A Poem by Doctor Deathstab

Once upon a time when the world was pure

There was a reason why the honest should endure.

But the world we never knew had an end so abrupt

No one ever saw that it became corrupt.

Instead, the populace embraced the taint

And the demons that we feared all became the saints.

gah, I love this! I loved loved that lines: But the world we never knew had an end so abrupt (especially the but the world we never knew part), it makes it feel so nostalgic for something that never happened. That's amazing. and the last line: And the demons that we feared all became the saints. It just makes the corruption stand out that much more. The flow is amazing, the rhyme scheme is not overbearing. Well done!
