Chasing The Dragon

Chasing The Dragon

Love poem

"
(For Tasheeka)

I imagine you in a room
Where the floor is covered
In broken glass and debris
A torn and stained couch
The only thing to sit on
Darkness like a haze
Swirls of smoke
Like spirits from the past
Who never wanted to leave
A pipe and a rock on your hands
The same hands I held in mine
Your body shakes
So much confusion
A thousand nervous ticks
A craving sensation
Cold from the inside out
Sweat dripping - body aches
Your once beautiful eyes - clouded
Your head clogged
How can you go on like this?
Dying inside
There's no place to hide when you're
Chasing the dragon
