When I see a waterfall
I think of you
I don't know why

I've never been with you
Where there's been a waterfall
Still the connection persists
In my heart
In my mind

It could be
Because of the love
You poured onto me

It could be
Because of how
I poured myself into you

It could b
Because of the way
The sky opened up on us
As we crossed campus

It could be
Because of how many
Tears I shed
When we parted ways

It could be any of these
Or one
Of a million more

The reason
Matters not

All I know
Is that when I'm about to die
I want it to be
By a waterfall
So that you'll be there
And...I won't die alone.
