I remember Oreo cookies at lunch The impossibly large earrings you wore - The way you smelled of Giorgio- That you were in the choir and I was in the school band- That you left school after Our junior year - that I've Thought of you every day ever since I regret That we couldn't... That we didn't... That we never will... You are as beautiful now As you were then - as you were On the night of the homecoming dance When you danced with me - An angel who crashed through The clouds on the way from Heaven And neither man nor time Can take that memory from me © 2023 CJKurtzFeatured Review
