This is an attempt to force myself to put my feelings into words. I'm not entirely pleased with it, but that's usually what you get when you force it.

lie.

Hope is

gleeting.

Impermanence

is a

promise.

Irony

is the barb of

reality.

I agree it could have been worded slightly better, but I do adore the way it's set out, the form of the poem.
