An Introduction

An Introduction

A Chapter by draphy

I have pondered for many years on whether I must write this down or not. Every time I reached for a pen, that fire that was burning in me to write vanquished. Maybe it was because I had too much to write. Or maybe I was too afraid to write it. Maybe I was afraid of who might read the contents. Maybe I was afraid of what I'd think of the quality. After all, no matter how well you could write, only the ones who truly lived it will know it.

And yet, in the end, after many years of pondering, I have reached a decision. I am going to write.

You might wonder now what it is that I'm talking of. Well let me inform you.

This is a story of a boy who lived in two worlds.

My name is Tahro Aka, and here's how my story begins...

This is a good start, but I don't think it qualifies as a whole chapter. My suggestion is to begin something of the boy's story, enough to get the reader interested and ready to turn the page to the next chapter. I like the introduction except for this sentence: "You might wonder now what it is that I'm talking of. Well let me inform you." I think it is the switch from first person to second person, but I'm not sure and I don't believe that you need it -- for me it sort of broke the rhythm. Please accept my comments in the spirit in which they are offered, to be helpful and constructive. If they don't seem on target for you, just toss them out and move on!
