Oh

Oh

A Poem by Archipelago
"

vindictive

"

Forget everything I just said
I didn’t know what you were back then
I saw the world in watercolor
And you seemed to me a prism
          Breaking up the boring light
Into oil rainbows on the tarmac

But you were just the grease
The sleaze,
the scumbag
              who stole
And lied
                     and valued honesty
You loved yourself but hated life
And everything that passed though you
Came out
red
and gray
and black

I hope the next time you find yourself
Passed out on the bathroom floor
With chunks of something in your hair
                             Heaving slowly in your sleep
Another me will come along
And turn you on your back

When it catches up with you
And bites you in the a*s
I’ll be there to watch it all
And laugh
and laugh
and laugh

I hope your dad gets drunk again
And boxes with your eyes
I’ll turn off my phone and go back to sleep
Send someone else your cries

I hope you will walk in on them
When they f**k behind your back
And to make the vision go away
You make yourself go blind

And then I hope you go insane
Because they’re always f*****g in your mind

I hope something’s always f*****g with your mind

I hope the needle always hurts as bad
As the first time you got hooked
I hope the s**t you shoot into your veins
Burns like vinegar in the eye
I hope it offers no respite
From the life you’re trying to flee
I hope you over-judge the dosage
So you slip away and fly
                              Shudder and seizure
                       Foam at the mouth
                Overdose
And die

Wow. At first I thought this was some kind of love poem:
"I saw the world in watercolor
And you seemed to me a prism
Breaking up the boring light
Into oil rainbows on the tarmac"

But then all the bad wishes you're sending to this person.... It was so vindictive and hateful. I could feel pain in every line, and have immense pity on the person who hurt you. I hope it isn't a true story, and if it is, it just makes the poem even more vivid. I loved the flowing form and raw emotions. It's going into my favorites, so awesome job!

Wow. THis is filled with soo much anger and hate. Its unbelieveable. As i read this i was think wow this horrible and evil. But after I finished reading I thought about about it I realized it was just really emotional and we all get thoughts like that. You protrayed human tendencies really well. Great job. The way this was written, structure wise was really awesome too.
