another short-short story, let me know what you think, thanks

“Psst! Ben! Are you awake?”

“I am now,” groaned Benn from the bottom bunk.

“Ben, I’m hungry,” whispered Leo. “”When are we going to eat?”

Ben sighed. He hated being the oldest, because it meant having to take care of the youngest. He wished his dad was here.

“Be patient, Leo. Tomorrow’s the first night of Hanukah. Mom will make us a big meal and we’ll get our first presents. Just go to bed and wait till morning.”

“Ben?”

“What?”

 “What’s Mom making?”

“Latkas. Big, oily, steaming latkas covered in sugar.”

“Ok, Ben, I’ll wait, but I really want them tonight.”

“Go to sleep, Leo.”

No sooner had Ben shut his eyes when the door flew open and the gray-garbed guard shouted “Atchung!”

They knew better than to wait, sleepy as they were. As Ben and Leo lined up alongside their bunkmates, one of the older men asked, “But sir, so early. What is going on?”

The guard’s expressionless reply came, “You are going to be showered.”

The room was too big to be a shower, but Leo didn’t notice. As the door slammed shut, all he was thinking about was the latkas.

I liked the one about the boy being kidnapped better, but this was still good. One thing, I think it's 'achtung', other than that, very nice.
