"Disallowed"

"Disallowed"

A Poem by what-the-frick

It's the ache in my heart,
It still beats, but it's weeping.
And I hide; it doesn't hurt if I'm sleeping.
You say sorry, but the word's lost its meaning
All these wounds, left untreated and bleeding.
I'm exposed, once again by myself and crying,
Who'd have known, all along love was lying?
I'll play dead, maybe tempt fate to try me,
Hold my breath, pretend you're here beside me.
