Attention w***e.

I love how your whispers

Become louder

When you realize

That our attention

Is wavering

 

Responsible for no one

Yet involved in everyone

You couldn't be more wrong

Then the words you speak

 

Hypocrisy seeps out of your pores
Contaminates your validity

Until all that is left

Are rumors

Rumors that mirror the truth

 

So when you say farewell

All I feel ...

Is relief.
