"Deadlocked"

"Deadlocked"

A Poem by what-the-frick

It was a frozen February morning,

All of future's promises aspirated,

On the coherence of hope,

Rationale ran away,

Replaced,

By your

Smug, hateful grin.

You committed abduction,

Your scheming enviable

of daytime melodrama.

And then your truth,

Stained my skin,

While your lips,

Gushed poison.

Condenscending sorry,

Mocking and whispers,

I won't blink. I'll stare you down.

Until my emotions,

And your hatred,

are

Deadlocked.
