"Insane"

"Insane"

A Poem by what-the-frick

I don’t think I’m happy

I think I’m insane

These thoughts in my brain

Bring less pleasure than pain

I’m trapped and irrational

I wish I knew why

These feelings will lie

Common sense simply sighs

I call out for help

But no one can hear

These thoughts bring me fear

My  anguish proves clear

So I suffer alone

Trapped in my brain

Personality stained

Happiness slain

This was an interesting piece. The rhyme scheme gave a light-hearted outlook on a serious topic. It almost seemed like the narrator enjoyed being insane, but understood its harmful effects on himself!
