"I Could"

"I Could"

A Poem by what-the-frick

I could punch a hole,

In these words that I say,

Such lies,

But you don’t want to see.

I could stab that heart,

Ridiculously hopeful,

You can touch,

But I won’t feel.

I could erase that look,

With empty glances,

Inside, be someone else,

It gets easier every day.

I could crush the spirit,

The last morsel,

Dim all the lights out,

Feeling …numbed.

I remember when you wrote this. The look on your face, the pain in your soul, as you so fervently scratched word by word.
Truly inspiring.
