"Hit So Hard In Love"

"Hit So Hard In Love"

A Poem by what-the-frick

What do I do,
When my home's not with you?
Just keep trying, no crying,
So you think it's the truth?

What do I say,
When you say you love me?
Conflicted, no wishes,
Smile through gritted teeth?

How do I act,
When the future stands still?
While you plan and withstand,
I pretend how to feel.

How do I tell you,
My heart lost its way?
Engaged while estranged,
All support gone astray.

When do I end it?
Thus breaking your heart.
No more shouting or doubting,
We're better apart.
