"You Were His Idol"

"You Were His Idol"

A Poem by what-the-frick

When blue eyes, just like yours, look up
And ask me why he's not enough
It takes every single ounce of strength
To convince him that isn't the case
You claim to care, yet stay the same
Insisting that he take your name
In the end, that's all he'll see
And you can put all the blame on me
But your actions scream
And drown that out
You may have the title
But you'll always lack what it's about
