"People Always Leave"

"People Always Leave"

A Poem by what-the-frick

I'm committed, I'm you're friend. I've got your back, until the end.
Those words rang true, then your voice went dull.
It was never forever at all.

Maybe I expect too much, or maybe you don't give enough.
Cause I'm there when your times get tough.
And you're absent when my life goes rough.

See, I miss you, but the feeling's naught.
I'm all alone; there's only me.
The sad truth stays, and people always leave.

Hitting the truth of it. So many people just throw in the towel and walk away when they got what they wanted. Always seems like when you need someone there's no one there. But for some, all they have to do is look around and they'll see they aren't as alone as they thought they were. Love this poem, hit's a nerve with me because I've been there all to often and know the feelings you describe.
