The day I forgot to remember

The day I forgot to remember

A Chapter by Satellite Heart

     Dear Diary,
I am going to start keeping track of each day in this Journal, so I won't get them confused with the dreams.

March Third.
He remembered today, I saw it in his eyes. It took every piece of me to stay composed and wait for him. His bag dropped and a warm smile filled his face as he sped up, running towards me. I sat down my books and and stood in place. I couldn't hold in all of my emotions. He was about five feet away from me and stopped. His eyes were no longer locked with mine and confusion enveloped him.
My hand flew up to my mouth to muffle the cries as I realized what had just happened.
                  I had lost him, again.
I really thought he had come back to me this time. I wept as he picked up his backpack and walked into the gymnasium.
Sometimes It scares me, thinking that my best friend will never come back. I did this to him, I should have let him stay. All he wanted to do was stay.
