Second Hand

Second Hand

A Poem by dragon2012
"

Kind of ran with the extended metaphor.

"
I've had the best to carve me me up,
Body and soul
And still, I'm wanting;
A ragged seam, a sleeve too long
A hem that drags on the ground
Yesterday's color, last year's cut
I'm a knock-off on the clearance rack
Twice-marked down

Distressed in all the wrong ways
Sequins falling off
I'm hanging by a thread

Can you see the possibilities?
could I be kitsch or vintage chic?
Make me a skirt,
Or a shirt
Or a costume, perhaps,
Or am I for the rag bag bound?
