Hanging

Hanging

A Poem by SirErudite
"

sad poem about suicide

"
Yellow birds chirp my name

curving arch casts a shade

oak tree stands tall in the forest

brown rope hangs on me

And I dangle rope around me

Just got the idea when trying to describe some scenery. It's not meant to ryhme, and it's just supposed to be a tragic image, described in a beautiful way.

You could add a second stanza explaining whether the person is hanged for a crime of if the person is innocent. But if all you are going for is for the scene you did a good job. It feels like a golden day and like the spirit of the dead person is hovering over him/her.self

What a depressing poem! So tragic! You describe the beauty of it very well though, it gives the poem a melancholy sort of feel.
