The feeling of being a writer and either not being able to write or not wanting to write can be heart breaking. I know for myself there are times I wish to write but for whatever reason can't follow through and my world feels like it's ending because I can't get these words out, but the world is still spinning, adding more and more days full of the possibility to write

Yes, I've felt both ways, more often than I would like, as well. Thanks, Haley!
There are times when the muse goes awol. I want to write but the inspiration is missing and the words don't flow.I relate to this piece so much. Pleased to meet you Diana.

Yes, I feel this way quite often. Far more than I'd care to admit... Thank you, Chris.

Ah - this is the sadness that is reality. I haven't logged in this site since 2014 so I can relate. haha Thank you for sharing, it brought me a little bit of comfort.
After 30+ years as a technical writer, I am a perfectionist about tidy copy. I often feel self-conscious that I take the time to write complete words & sentences in every missive, every comment, every email. To me, it's a sign that I care about my recipients. I'm requesting your time to read me, so I better make it worth people's while. Your poem seems like it's conveying acceptance, but in fact, your ho-hum message incites those of us who have buried our grief about the degradation of words & sentences (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
Sad but true .. my own handwriting has become a hodge-podge or cursive and printing as writing in "long hand" those hands are too shaky. Sometimes I can't read something I just wrote. ;} I had some thank you cards to write recently and decided to get back some discipline in this area and took my time, shook out my hands and used cursive only. I actually had trouble remembering exactly how the "T" and "F" and "J" are made. I almost had to google it. Perhaps a Calligraphy class would be a fun adventure. I am old .. the language of twitter, tweet and all the rest might as well be foreign for me. Your title hooked me ... expected more of a proper English romance :))))))))))))

A witty but clever write, yes the world still goes round regardless. I still do grammar mistakes sometimes I’m lucky and someone points them out or typo!

Thanks, Andrew. I hear you on those grammar mistakes...
So glad to see you back. I think creativity trumps knowledge but the later is important too. Good point about the email and writing. Writing is an essential form of communication as well as art and trade.
