reminds me of an Al Green song..."i'm so tired of being alone" and if he can express that, then i think anyone, regardless of gender, should be able to do the same.
that needs to be the reality...if men can make desires known, why can't women?
i think the uncertainty lies more in the issues of trust. and probably for good reason.

'Girls aren't supposed to make their desires known,' how truly that is an echo of the way it so often is; but then again, and just as often, it only takes a glance from beneath lowered lashes.
Reality is what we make of it, but a lot of times this poem directly expresses what it actually is. It's a shame too really, because we all should want a better reality than this. Thanks for sharing this beautiful poem
