I May Never Know

I May Never Know

A Poem by Diana

I may never know
the touch of your
skin on my face,
or the kiss of your lips.

The honeydew-kissed sunset,
of a care-free beach.
The ocean breeze sifting through my hair.
Crabs and seashells everywhere.

For my time has come.

A melancholy poem. Speaks of death and/or leaving, never having experienced love.

Oddly enough, both in a way. Thank you. Your comment made me stop and think about it...
Oh that is so sad...to lack the time to live. This one evokes a lot of emotion. There is such a melancholy aura about it all.

Thank you, icelandicblue.
Wow. I felt the sadness but at the same time the longing even briefly for the simple romantic moments. This is touching...:)............
