Laid to Rest

Laid to Rest

A Poem by Diana

Laid to Rest

I laid your body

to rest today.

Kissed it one last time.

But you will always reside

in my heart of hearts.

As I watched the darts

on my coverlet...

Tonight I dreamt of you.

Your heart in mine

and mine in yours.

Your soul entwined with mine.

Though you be buried.

Though you be long gone.
