A Vestibule for My Heart

A Vestibule for My Heart

A Poem by Diana

I tried to find a vestibule for my heart
a box with strings, blue and white,
an unspoken letter,
an impassioned essay.

But none of these things
could hold my heart...
It longed to be free.
It longed for another human heart
to beat along with in ecstasy.

You are welcome...:)..................
i love the idea that it longed to be free, meaning to run and beat with another heart in ecstasy...

it would be free to love...we can't tie it up with strings, and essays and poems...we have to let it roam.

nicely penned

Yes, thank you, Jacob.
This is a lovely write Diana and I love the title, it;s what caught my ey'.. I think maybe you left out the word "it" in the last line?
"to beat along with "it" in ecstasy" ....
