Now I would work a nine to five
Just to try to survive
But I aint got the time
Says the ignorant mind
Gotta stay on my grind
Till love and peace
True freedom for we, I find
Lose my sleep
And never rest my eyes
Till the innocent's free
To explore the outside
And no more blood seeps
From our bodies insides
And till you and me
And all other beings on this earth combine
Till we have a peace treaty
And all of us intertwine our minds
Till Russia leaves Georgia alone
And I'll sleep not one day
Till our soldiers come home
Cause this is for the next generation
F**k me, myself and I
I'm not doing this for my own
We shouldn't be doing this alone
And that 12 year old shouldn't be acting grown
But what are we to do when there's no father figures at home?
And I know, they need one in their life
They need an education...a will to survive
But who am I to tell them how to live?
And who am I to try and save these kids?
Who are we to say they're wrong?
And who are we to say they don't belong?
If they bleed they bleed red
And if they think they must have a head
And if they see they see like us
And if they breathe, then they too have lungs
And color means nothing to me
It shouldn't mean to you
Cause we're all the same you see
We all feel good and blue
I see on the inside
You can see on the out
But I love from within (f**k pride)
You can go ahead and run your mouth
And I have no preference in race
I don't look for a man with dark skin
I just found one with faith
Who became my best friend
A good man, with a good heart
And an even better soul
With an even better mind, by far
The greatest man I've ever known
And if you think I'm not right
If you think this earth is just black and white
You should open your eyes and look outside
Cause there's millions of colors
And billions of lovers
And I know I can't be the only one
Who sees how beautiful this world could be
If we all just became one, you see
And King ain't the only one with a dream
Cause I too, dream at night and day
And I know you feel these words that I say
F**k fame and f**k money I don't need that s**t
I just need a friend, lungs and a couple of kids
To put a smile on my face
And so I must be smiling every day
And I love it this way
You would love it too if you just looked
Stop criticising for a moment
And I bet you the world, you'd be hooked
To the beauty that the world brings
All colors, all children
And all beings of all things.
