Overcome with Fears

Overcome with Fears

A Poem by Danielle Teresa
"

Sifting through some old writings on my computer I came across this poem, I wrote it for my ex, you can see that my fears overcame my love for her, over 2 years later it continues...

"

tears leaking from your eyes

redness in your cheeks,

all from me

sharp words left my lips

sinking your heart

who am I to say?

it isn't the real me pushing you away...

a scarred little girl hidden away

deep down

she drowns

I try

believe me I try

to rid my soul of her

once and for all

haunted by the past

no room for a future

I fight

through the thickness

through the scars

for you

my rock

my one

my dear

I will prevail

smiles on your face

beauty

all the good in my life

you are

the hurt I will defeat

happiness is clear

gone will be the fear
