a ghost...

a ghost...

A Poem by Danielle Teresa

look at me from across the room...

like we've never met before...

eyes peeled on mine as i glide from the old wooden bar stool...

placing my beer on the ledge...

moisture dripping down the edge

of the bottle, to your knees...

you look away...

in a way...

to tease...

I brush the hair away from my eyes still locked on you...

knowing you...

will look back...

as you do...

i stand in front of you...

my lips...2 inches from your mouth...

dry from my nerves...my tongue moves along the top slowly finding the bottom...

your soft hands reach for my face...

warmth as i remember...

i inhale every ounce of you...I smile...

I've missed you my love... where have you been?

I've been here baby...I'm here to stay...

as your memory slowly fades away...

with desperation and fear....

i fail to keep you near...

all that is left are my tears...

all that is left are tears...

So emotional! This is such a sad piece! But it is beautifully written! Great job! my only suggestion is that you used alot of the ... it kind of took alittle out of the read. Otherwise GREAT JOB!

That was a wow, to the intense of emotional kaboom! I liked it. What an existance to die and not be able to haunt the man of your heart! I'd be rattling some chains in heaven to get me a guardian angel position. Tragicly beautfull
Great Write!
