a ghost...A Poem by Danielle Teresalook at me from across the room... like we've never met before... eyes peeled on mine as i glide from the old wooden bar stool... placing my beer on the ledge... moisture dripping down the edge of the bottle, to your knees... you look away... in a way... to tease... I brush the hair away from my eyes still locked on you... knowing you... will look back... as you do... i stand in front of you... my lips...2 inches from your mouth... dry from my nerves...my tongue moves along the top slowly finding the bottom... your soft hands reach for my face... warmth as i remember... i inhale every ounce of you...I smile... I've missed you my love... where have you been? I've been here baby...I'm here to stay... as your memory slowly fades away... with desperation and fear.... i fail to keep you near... all that is left are my tears... all that is left are tears... © 2008 Danielle TeresaReviews
