Chapter Six: Life

Chapter Six: Life

A Chapter by The old me

I have no clue what’s going on. I’m sitting on a couch next to my love of my life that was dead and I’m holding my three year old daughter.

“How is this possible?” I said in total shock.

“Well apparently I was pregnant before I slipped in a coma.”

“I didn’t know people could give birth in a coma.”

“Well it happen somehow.”

There is a chilling silence that is broken up by Karissa shyly walking up to me and giving me a hug. My emotions poor out as I embrace my newly found daughter. I look up and see Rose crying too.

“I love you daddy.” Karissa says sweetly.

I cry even harder. “I love you too.”

After a few minutes, I let go of Karissa and walk with her and Rose inside the house. We walk Karissa to her grandmother then we walk to the back room. to talk we stand together in silence for a few moments, till  she breaks it.

“So how are you taking all of this? You look pale.”

I was.

“It’s still a bit shocking to me. I keep thinking it’s a dream.”

She sits on the bed.

“Or do you mean more like a nightmare?”

“Why would I think that?”

I walk over and sit next to her on the bed. She starts crying and hoarsely speaks,

“Because you’re with Katie now.”

There is a long silence after that. But she ends up speaking.

“Do you still love me?”

Without hesitation, “Yes.”

She leans over and kisses me. Those lips. I never thought I would have again but never forgot about. We start undressing each other. We lie in the bed and end up making love. After we hold each other in silence till we fall asleep.

Very sweet, and yet sad at the same time. Certainly a interesting twist to the whole situation... and how did Rose know about him with Katie? o.O
