Chapter Fourteen: Tricks and treats

A lot of moments go by in the world of the living. It is silent for hours. But after a while the silence of the world is disturbed. The sound of a car engine is heard. A car driven by the remaining person of the town, Amy. Amy grips the wheel and heads out of town. She is heading to the nearest large city to find some salvation. She travels for hours in silence, thinking about the events of what just happened. She arrives just outside of the city. She stops and relaxes for a moment. She goes back in her mind on what happened between her and John.

A few hours earlier…

John is standing in front of Amy with his knife drawn. Amy begs John for her life.

“Please don’t kill me.”

“I have to.”

“Please don’t kill me, I’m pregnant.”

“What?”

“I’m three months pregnant.”

“It all makes sense.”

“What do you mean?”

“An angel told me that I was the one to protect the baby who would be the one to turn around this world. I thought it was my baby with Hannah, but it’s yours.”

“Turn around the world?”

“Your baby is the one who gets rid of the demons here and brings back the days of light.”

“Are you sure?”

“Yes.”

“What do we do next?”

“I have a plan. We set this place on fire. I will go outside and distract them. You will sneak out the back and soon after head to the nearest town.”

“Why to the next town?”

“The angel told me it’s a safe haven.”

“Ok. How will you distract them?”

“Bring me the knife and I will go after them.”

“Won’t they kill you?”

“No. I made a deal with the main one.”

“What deal?”

“My soul for Hannah’s and our baby’s.”

“John…”

“Its fine, Amy. You need to survive this. You must raise this baby to save us all.”

“But John…”

“But nothing, Amy. Just please do me one thing.”

“What is it?”

“When your day does come, and you go up to heaven, tell Hannah that I love her.”

John lights the room on fire and Amy walks out the back. John gets pulled into hell and Amy then takes off for the city.

Amy drives into the town to start a new life with her unborn children.

I love it! But.... I want a sequel xD I want to know what happens to John now, and everything that happens afterwards. I loved the book, and once I've read it all the way through in its entirety (not chapter by chapter) I'll leave my full review. I love it, great work :)

Man! Just do one thing. Expand the last three lines.. Had me all the way then it ended. Not fair, not fair!

You could write about what happens to Amy next and what it is like for John in hell. Also, in the last chapter you said that John knows how to trick the devil.. Maybe you could go into this a bit more.
