Chapter 15A Chapter by The old meChapter Fifthteen: The Aftermath I really wish I could tell you that a miracle happened and somehow the woman was saved and somehow got fixed, but sadly I can’t. I really wish I could tell you that somehow the man was able to see the woman before she went, but sadly I can’t say that either. She died three days after she left with her dad to their family cabin. This was unknowingly to the man at the time. There are no happy endings for the man or the woman in the story. The man knew no matter what he would love the woman. No matter how much time passed, he wouldn’t forget her. He couldn’t ever forget her. He let her in to his deepest level. He was told to jump into something else right after this happened to try to feel better, but he couldn’t allow himself to do it. Even when good things came his way, he turned a blind eye. He knew it would only mask his. Every time he thought he could move on, it didn’t happen. He couldn’t stop thinking about her. Her beauty, her grace, her memory. Never forget it. Never let his love for her dull. The man really wanted to know when she passed. He only knew when she left for the cabin. He checked her state obituaries every day. Till one day out of the blue, the woman’s roommate emailed the man and told him when she had passed. He also asked if there was anything he needed to know to move on. Such a hard question to answer. Can anyone really know that answer? Sometimes there are unanswered question but not in this case. The thing that kept the man attracted to her was his love for the woman and the memoires they shared. From all the talks on how their days when, or from all the times they told each other they loved each other, the memories would last forever. The roommate did leave the man with one last thing that made the man feel good: “You know she really loved you?” “Yes I do.” Those words of love always weighted a lot on the man. He knew it would affect the rest of the course of his life. The two has a unique relationship. They were bounded by a time limit to know each other but they managed to do it. And with that little time they grew to love each other even with the disadvantage of distance separating each of them. They did the impossible and found deep love with each other. © 2011 The old meFeatured Review
