Disguise

Disguise

A Poem by Diahnna C. Peairson

This mask, it clings so tight,

of fake smiles and bright eyes.

Flowing through and crossing lines,

Lonely preys and hides behind.

What might be seen or covered,

is delicately painted over.

Underneath, and undiscovered,

Sorrow is Compassion's lover.
