Secret Delusion

Secret Delusion

A Poem by Diahnna C. Peairson

Oh, what an imposition

to wonder your position,

or the state of your condition;

some might call this an obsession.

Are the thoughts inside your head

of something I might dread,

or maybe of what I said

when last we had confession?

What's going on inside?

What is it that you hide?

I cannot bide my time

while you sink into depression.

We think we're all alone.

Our hearts are never shown.

For what we must atone,

leaves no room for discretion.

Now the time has come

for us to come undone.

The battle will be won;

we surrender our transgression.
