The Frozen Summer

The Frozen Summer

A Poem by Colton Patterson

A summers worth of memories
Caught up in different flows and breeze
Aristocratic melancholy
A world on fire, just for me
A crystal palace made of ice
A lonely palette of grays and whites
In time it melts in the warm summer morning
The walls and roofs bring water pouring
Sun sheen's through the glassy domain
Droplets fall like springtime rain
