Lakeland

Lakeland

A Poem by Darren Oxton

Crowded in once more
Beneath a starlit canopy,
The towering pines
-Constant guardians,
I'm at home again in lakeland.

Pebbles scour natures floor,
A still wind whispers-a sigh?
For this earthly place so divine
-My own purest garden
Warms souls with an open hand.
