I Remember 9/11A Poem by DoxophobiaSeptember 11th I remember you A bird, a plane, out of the blue Colliding and crashing On our on soil Crumbling and smashing Our hearts I was six years old, then Sitting at school Worrying about my pigtails Did I look cool? How do you define Regret and sorrow You took away lives You did not ask to borrow. Like a spoiled child stamping their feet You made hundreds of people That weren't meant to meet The light at the end of the tunnel Quick like a bee sting Quick like a hurricane The winds soared The angels sing September 11th I remember you A bird, a plane, out of the blue And as for the people who no longer thrive We remember this day To keep your souls alive. © 2012 DoxophobiaReviews
